-  Who we are

PLEASE NOTE: We will be permanently closing down as of the 31st of March 2018. Until then it will be business as usual.

7th Harmonic is both a rehearsal studio and recording facility located along Gorgie Road in the Chesser area of Edinburgh. With specifically designed and built rooms for recording and practice it is the ideal place to rehearse your set for an upcoming gig, write some new songs, tighten some old ones and produce the best possible recording for those tracks, from a demo to a mastered recording for commercial release.

We are open from Noon until Midnight, 7 days a week (10-8pm on Saturdays; Noon-10pm on Sundays.)

-  Brief outline of services

We offer recording, mixing and mastering in our specially built recording studio. We have designed our rooms to combine the need to create music in a creative environment with the required acoustical treatment to produce the greatest sound out of your instruments. We also offer a ideal place to practice for your band; all our rooms contain two guitar amps, bass amp, drum kit and PA system as standard in order to meet most band requirements. We also offer a special “Record Your Rehearsal” demo deal, allowing you a complete MP3 copy of your practice. If you require any extra kit for your session, feel free to contact us and we should be able to accommodate your needs.

-  Bio

7th Harmonic was the brainchild of David Todd and Paul Wishart, facilitated via the business backing of Malcolm Todd. The goal was to open up a facility that could properly cater to the needs of Edinburgh’s growing local music scene. We wanted to fill the void of practice facilities here in the West End of Edinburgh and, generally, be able to offer a higher quality of rehearsal rooms than had previously been available. We wanted to offer recording artists top-of-the-range, high-quality digital recordings at affordable prices, in environments aesthetically and acoustically optimum for the creation and capturing of music.

After a year of extensive planning, research and designing we feel we have achieved that with 7th Harmonic Studios. Since opening our doors in January 2013 we’ve had near universal praise from all of the Edinburgh artists that have rehearsed and recorded here and the majority of our first-timers have quickly become our weekly regulars!
